With broken hearts and unimaginable sorrow, we announce the passing of Jacob Ryan Madder, who left this world far too soon on May 16, 2025, at the young age of 22. He was tragically taken from us in an act of violence, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
Born on January 21, 2003, Jacob was more than a beloved son — he was a best friend, a bright soul, and the love of his mother’s life. His mother, Tracey Madder, shared a heartfelt tribute:
“Rest in peace my beautiful boy, my son, my best friend, love of my life ❤️ We will meet again”
Jacob was known for his quiet strength, kind heart, and a passion for protecting the planet. A recent graduate of Florida International University, he earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Health Engineering in 2023. He dedicated himself to improving the world around him through environmental consulting and site assessment, working as an intern at UES and later as an Engineer in Training at Dynatech Engineering Corp. in Hialeah, Florida.
To those who knew him, Jacob was gentle, determined, and endlessly curious. His love for engineering was matched only by his loyalty to those he cared about. He was a protector, a guide, and a big brother — both in family and in spirit.
Dimas Hillman, a close friend, remembered him simply and powerfully:
“KG’s big brother, Jacob Ryan Madder. Reportedly passed away after being murdered. Rest in peace. 🖤”
Jacob’s life was filled with promise, and his loss is a painful reminder of how precious and fragile life can be. His memory will live on in every person he inspired, every friend he helped, and every space he worked to heal through his passion for environmental change.
He is survived by his loving mother Tracey, and all who held him dear.
